Anselm Neft was born in Bonn in 1973. He studied comparative religious studies, prehistory and early history, folklore, and philosophy. He works as an author and essayist. His novels include *Die bessere Geschichte* and *Helden in Schnabelschuhen*. In 2018, he read at the Days of German-Language Literature in Klagenfurt at the invitation of Nora Gomringer.
