Anke Stelling (born in Ulm in 1971) studied at the German Literature Institute in Leipzig. She works as a prose writer and screenwriter. Her publications include “Nimm mich mit” and “Gisela,” co-written with Robby Dannenberg, as well as “Glückliche Fügung,” “Horchen,” “Bodentiefe Fenster,” “Fürsorge,” and “Schäfchen im Trockenen.” “Gisela” and “Glückliche Fügung” were adapted for the screen. “Bodentiefe Fenster” was shortlisted on the longlist for the German Book Prize, appeared on the Hotlist of independent publishers, and received the Melusine Huss Prize. Stelling received the 2019 Leipzig Book Fair Prize for “Schäfchen im Trockenen” and the Friedrich Hölderlin Prize in the same year.
