Christian Ritter

Christian Ritter is a scholar of cultural and media studies. He studied art, design and media theory as well as cultural studies in Zurich and earned his doctorate at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne with a dissertation on ethnicity as an aesthetic practice in post-migrant youth cultures. At the Collegium Helveticum in Zurich, he worked in the Art/Media/Design research area and taught at the University of Zurich’s Institute of Social Anthropology and Empirical Cultural Studies. His research interests include digitization, visual culture, migration and youth culture, as well as artistic and ethnographic research.
