Kirsten Fuchs

Kirsten Fuchs, born in 1977 in Karl-Marx-Stadt, is a writer, literary stage performer and columnist. She has published novels, short-story collections and plays, and has been active on various literary stages. In 2003, she won the Open Mike literary competition. Her youth play “Tag Hicks oder fliegen für vier” received the Brüder Grimm Prize of the State of Berlin in 2015. Her novel “Mädchenmeute” won the German Youth Literature Prize and the Kassel Prize for Comic Literature in 2016; its sequel, “Mädchenmeuterei,” was published in 2021. In 2022, Fuchs received the W. G. Sebald Literature Prize.
