Dana von Suffrin

Dana von Suffrin, born in Munich in 1985, is a German writer. She studied political science, Jewish history and culture, and comparative literature in Munich, Jerusalem and Naples. In 2017, she earned a doctorate with a dissertation on the role of science and ideology in early Zionism. She subsequently worked as a research associate and coordinator of a German Research Foundation project at the University of Munich. Her debut novel, *Otto*, was published in 2019 and received, among others, the Klaus-Michael-Kühne Prize, the Ernst Hoferichter Prize and the advancement award of the Friedrich Hölderlin Prize. Her novel *Nochmal von vorne* followed in 2024 and was nominated for the German Book Prize; her radio play *Unter uns* was also published that year.
