Frank Schulz, born in 1957, is a German writer. He became known in part for the so-called Hagen Trilogy, comprising the novels “Kolks blonde Bräute,” “Morbus fonticuli oder Die Sehnsucht des Laien,” and “Das Ouzo-Orakel.” Between 2012 and 2016, his three Onno Viets novels were published: “Onno Viets und der Irre vom Kiez,” “Onno Viets und das Schiff der baumelnden Seelen,” and “Onno Viets und der weiße Hirsch.” Schulz has received several awards for his work, including the Hubert Fichte Prize, the Irmgard Heilmann Prize, the Kranichstein Literature Prize, and the Kassel Literary Prize for Grotesque Humor. His story collection “Anmut und Feigheit” was published in 2018.
