Jacinta Nandi (born in 1980 in London) moved to Berlin in 2000. She worked as a TEFL teacher and writer, contributing to publications including taz, Missy Magazine, Jungle World and the English-language city magazine Exberliner. Nandi was a member of the live-literature groups Rakete 2000 and Die Surfpoeten. Her books include “Deutsch werden: Why German people love playing frisbee with their nana naked” (2011), “Fish’n’Chips & Spreewaldgurken” (with Jakob Hein, 2013), “nichts gegen blasen” (2015), “Die schlechteste Hausfrau der Welt” (2020) and “WTF Berlin – Expatsplaining the German Capital” (2022).
