Aron Boks, born in Wernigerode in 1997, is an author, slam poet and moderator. He published his first novel, *Dieses Zimmer ist bereits besetzt*, in 2018, followed shortly afterwards by the poetry collection *Und über allem Rauch*. In 2019, he received the Klopstock Förderpreis für Neue Literatur. His 2023 book *Nackt in die DDR* traces the life and legacy of his great-uncle, the artist and East German cultural official Willi Sitte. Boks himself did not experience the German Democratic Republic.
