Lea Streisand

Lea Streisand, born in Berlin in 1979, studied modern German literature and Scandinavian studies. She published novels, essays and columns, including for the newspapers taz and Berliner Zeitung, and performed on literary stages from 2003 onward. She also became known for her radio column “War schön jewesen” on radioeins. Her first novel, Im Sommer wieder Fahrrad, was published in 2016; later novels included Hufeland Ecke Bötzow (2019) and Hätt’ ich ein Kind (2022). In the winter semester of 2022–23, she held the Poetics Lectureship at the University of Paderborn.
