Bov Bjerg

Bov Bjerg, born in 1965 in Heiningen, Württemberg, is a German writer and cabaret artist. He studied linguistics, politics and literature in Berlin and Amsterdam and graduated from the German Literature Institute Leipzig. Bjerg helped establish several literary stages in Berlin, worked as an author and actor in cabaret, and wrote for newspapers and magazines. In 2004, he received the MDR Literature Prize for his short story “Howyadoin.” His works include the novels “Deadline,” “Auerhaus” and “Serpentinen,” as well as the short-story collection “Die Modernisierung meiner Mutter.” “Auerhaus” was adapted for the stage and made into a film; “Serpentinen” was shortlisted for the 2020 German Book Prize.
