Judith Hermann, born in Berlin in 1970, is a German writer. Her debut, »Sommerhaus, später«, was published in 1998 and received several awards. It was followed by the story collections »Nichts als Gespenster« (2003), »Alice« (2009) and »Lettipark« (2016), as well as the novels »Aller Liebe Anfang« (2014) and »Daheim« (2021). Several stories from »Nichts als Gespenster« were adapted for film in 2007. Hermann received the Danish Blixen Prize for »Lettipark«. Her other honors include the Kleist Prize, the Friedrich Hölderlin Prize, the Bremen Literature Prize and the Wilhelm Raabe Literature Prize. Her 2023 book »Wir hätten uns alles gesagt« was based on her Frankfurt Poetics Lectures.
