Ulla Lenze

Ulla Lenze, born in Mönchengladbach in 1973, studied music and philosophy in Cologne and works as a freelance writer. Her debut novel, »Schwester und Bruder«, was published in 2003 and received the Jürgen Ponto Prize for the best debut novel, the Ernst Willner Prize at the Bachmann Competition, and the Rolf-Dieter Brinkmann Promotional Award. Her other novels include »Der kleine Rest des Todes« (2012), »Die endlose Stadt« (2015), and »Der Empfänger« (2020). In 2016, Lenze received the Literature Prize of the Cultural Circle of German Business for her complete body of work.
