Dima Al-Bitar Kalaji, born in Damascus in 1982, studied art and media there. She published texts in Syrian and international newspapers, including ZEIT online and a publication of the German Federal Agency for Civic Education. In 2012, she co-founded Radio Souriali, an independent radio station in Syria. In Germany, she produced the bilingual podcast “Syrmania” in cooperation with Deutschlandfunk Kultur and, in 2020, the podcast “(W)Ortwechseln – Weiter Schreiben Briefe” with rbb Kultur. From 2017, she worked for WIR MACHEN DAS as a curator and editor, including on the projects “Weiter Schreiben” and “Weiter Schreiben Schweiz”.
