Lena Gorelik

Lena Gorelik, born in 1981 in Saint Petersburg, is a German writer and journalist of Russian-Jewish origin. In 1992, she came to Germany with her family as a quota refugee. She trained at the German School of Journalism in Munich and subsequently studied Eastern European Studies at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. Her debut novel, “Meine weißen Nächte,” was published in 2004. Her other works include “Hochzeit in Jerusalem” (2007), which was nominated for the German Book Prize, “Mehr Schwarz als Lila” (2017), nominated for the German Youth Literature Prize, and “Wer wir sind” (2021). She has also published nonfiction and young adult books, essays, and travel writing.
