Melika Foroutan

Melika Foroutan was born in Tehran in 1976. From 1995 to 1998, she studied philosophy, history and English at the University of Cologne, and in 2002 completed a degree in acting at Berlin University of the Arts. She was engaged at Schauspiel Leipzig during the 2003/04 season. She became known, among other roles, as Detective Sylvia Henke in the series »KDD« and as investigator Louise Boni, a performance that earned her the Hessian Film Award. In 2021, she received a Greek film award for Best Actress for her role in »PARI«. She also appeared in productions including »The Empress«, »Tribes of Europa« and »Sleeping Dogs«, and worked as a narrator for radio plays and audiobooks.
