Pegah Ahmadi (born in Iran in 1974) is an Iranian poet, translator and literary critic. She studied Persian language and literature at the University of Tehran and has published ten books. Two collections of her poetry have appeared in German: *Mir war nicht kalt* (2011) and *Wucht* (2018), both translated by Jutta Himmelreich. Ahmadi translated her collection *Das war also die Zukunft* herself from Persian into German; the translation was edited by Monika Rinck. In 2013, she was nominated for the Hilde Domin Prize for Literature in Exile and received the Chorschid Prize for Iranian Women Poets.
