Marcus Roloff (born 1973 in Neubrandenburg) is a German poet, prose writer, and translator. He studied German literature, philosophy, and cultural studies at Humboldt University of Berlin. His literary publications began in 1997 and include poetry and short prose. His works include the poetry collections “reinzeichnung” (2015), “waldstücke” (2017), and “gespräch mit dem horizont” (2021), as well as the short-prose collection “Mogk’s Bierstubb in Platons Schneekugel” (2019). As a translator, he collaborated with Geraldine Gutiérrez-Wienken on a German selection of poems by Venezuelan poet Rafael Cadenas, published as “Klagelieder im Gepäck” (2018), and translated Peter Orlovsky’s “Sauber abgewischt” (2020).
