Alexandra Bernhardt

Alexandra Bernhardt, born in Bavaria in 1974, studied philosophy, comparative literature, Greek studies and Oriental studies in Munich and Vienna. She published poetry and short prose in journals, anthologies and on radio. Her standalone publications include “Et in Arcadia ego. Gedichte” (2017) and “Hinterwelt oder Aus einem Spiegelkabinett. Erzählungen” (2018). She also translated poetry from Icelandic, Catalan and Polish and edited various works. Her distinctions include the Wiener Literatur Stipendium in 2021 and the RAI Südtirol Media Prize at the Merano Poetry Prize in 2022.
