Nikolai Vogel (born 1971 in Munich) is a writer and visual artist. He studied German literature, philosophy and computer science at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. He was a finalist for the Open Mike in 2004 and the Ingeborg Bachmann Prize in 2005, and received the Bavarian Arts Advancement Award for literature in 2007. His publications include the novel “Spam Diamond” (2012) and “Große ungeordnete Aufzählung (Detail),” published in various editions from 2008 onward. Other works include “Taubentext, Vogeltext” (2018, with Anja Golob), “Fragmente zu einem Langgedicht” (2019), “Vielzweckbuch” (2021), “Anthropoem” (2021), and “Eine Sprache, die sagt, dass sie außer mir ist” (2023). In 1993, he co-founded Black Ink Verlag with Kilian Fitzpatrick.
