Nora Zapf

Nora Zapf, born in Paderborn in 1985, is a poet, translator, and literary scholar. She studied Romance languages and political science in Munich and received her doctorate in 2017 with a dissertation on twentieth-century Atlantic poetics. From 2018 to 2022, she was a research associate in Hispanic studies, specializing in Latin American studies, at the University of Innsbruck. In 2017, she received the City of Munich’s literature scholarship. Her publications include the poetry collection “Rost und Kaffeesatz” (2018). She has also translated, among other works, Fernando Pessoa’s “Der Seemann” and a long poem by Mario Santiago Papasquiaro. Zapf co-organized the Munich reading series “Meine drei lyrischen Ichs” and the festival “Großer Tag der jungen Münchner Literatur”.
