Àxel Sanjosé, born in Barcelona in 1960, is a German-Catalan poet and translator. From 1978 onward, he lived and worked in Munich, where he studied German, worked for a design agency, and served as a lecturer at Ludwig Maximilian University’s Institute of Comparative Literature. His poetry collections include Gelegentlich Krähen, Anaptyxis, and Das fünfte Nichts. He translated and edited works from Catalan, including the anthology vier nach, Pere Gimferrer’s Die Spiegel. Der öde Raum, and Poesies/Gedichte by Màrius Torres.
