Ron Winkler

Born in Jena in 1973, Ron Winkler is a German poet, translator, and editor. He studied German literature and history and has published several poetry collections, including »Frenetische Stille« (2010), »Prachtvolle Mitternacht« (2013), and »Karten aus Gebieten« (2017). He has also edited anthologies such as »Schneegedichte« (2011). As a translator from English, he has translated, among other works, poems by Billy Collins and works by Forrest Gander and Lawrence Ferlinghetti. His poetry has received the Leonce and Lena Prize, the Mondsee Poetry Prize, the Munich Poetry Prize, and the Basel Poetry Prize. In 2020, he served as writer-in-residence in Rheinsberg.
