Norbert Lange

Norbert Lange (born 1978 in Gdynia, Poland) is a German poet, essayist, and translator. He studied art history, philosophy, and Jewish studies in Berlin and attended the German Literature Institute in Leipzig from 2002 to 2006. Lange worked as an editor for the literary magazine radar and co-founded the online literary magazine karawa.net with Tobias Amslinger and Léonce W. Lupette. His publications include the poetry collections Rauhfasern (2005), Das Schiefe, das Harte und das Gemalene (2012), and Unter Orangen (2021), as well as the essay collection Das Geschriebene mit der Schreibhand (2010). He has also translated and edited works by American and British poets, including Charles Bernstein, Jerome Rothenberg, and Andrew Duncan. His translation of Charles Bernstein received the City of Münster Prize for International Poetry.
