Berit Glanz, born near Kiel in 1982, studied theatre studies and Scandinavian studies in Munich, Stockholm and Reykjavík. Her debut novel, “Pixeltänzer,” was published in 2019, nominated for the Aspekte Literature Prize, and received the Hebbel Prize in 2020. Her novel “Automaton” followed in 2022, and her nonfiction book “Filter – Digitale Bildkulturen” in 2023. In 2020, Glanz received the Bremen Net Residency for a project on artificial intelligence. She has worked as a cultural journalist, writing about memes, digital literature, and other aspects of internet culture.
