Andreas Hutt, born in Kassel in 1967, studied mathematics and German studies in Marburg and worked as a secondary-school teacher. He has published poetry in literary magazines and anthologies, as well as reviews, primarily on contemporary poetry. His poetry collections include “Transitzonen” (2019) and “Schritt auf Schritt” (2021); “Handbuch eines schizophrenen Paralleluniversums” was published in 2024. Hutt received the Wiener Werkstattpreis for Literature in 2011 and won third prize in the Stockstadt Literary Competition in 2014 and 2019. He was also selected for the Irseer Pegasus in 2013 and 2017 and was shortlisted for the Munich Poetry Prize in 2024.
