Alke Stachler, born in 1984 in Timișoara, Romania, is a German writer. She studied literature and art history and began publishing primarily poetry in literary magazines and anthologies around 2009. Her poetry collections “dünner ort” (2016) and “geliebtes biest” (2019) were published by edition mosaik. Alongside her writing, she worked as an editor and led creative-writing workshops. In 2014, she received an award from the Bavarian Literature Foundation for poems inspired by paintings by Paul Klee. She has also received the City of Augsburg’s Arts Promotion Award, a working grant from the Bavarian State Ministry of Science and the Arts, and the Bavarian Arts Promotion Award.
