Udo Fabio

Born in 1954, Udo Di Fabio studied law and social sciences. He received doctorates in law in 1988 and political science in 1990 and completed his habilitation in 1993. After holding professorships at the universities of Münster, Trier and Munich, he became a professor of public law at the University of Bonn in 2003. From 1999 to 2011, he served as a judge on the Second Senate of the Federal Constitutional Court. His published books include *Die Kultur der Freiheit* (2005) and *Schwankender Westen* (2015).
