Annette Pehnt, born in Cologne in 1967, is a German author and literary scholar. She studied and worked in Ireland, Scotland, Australia and the United States. Pehnt has published novels, short stories, essays and children’s books, including »Ich muß los«, »Chronik der Nähe«, »Die schmutzige Frau« and the popular books about Bärbeiß. Her literary work has received several awards, including the Thaddäus Troll Prize, the Italo Svevo Prize, the Solothurn Literature Prize and the Hermann Hesse Prize.
