Philipp Felsch

Philipp Felsch (born in 1972) is a German historian and cultural scholar. He studied history and philosophy in Freiburg, Cologne, Bologna, and Berlin, and received his doctorate from the University of Zurich in 2006. His academic career included positions at the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science in Berlin, the International Research Center for Cultural Studies in Vienna, and a professorship in the history of the human sciences at Humboldt University of Berlin. He became widely known for his monograph »Der lange Sommer der Theorie. Geschichte einer Revolte 1960–1990« (2015), which was nominated for the Leipzig Book Fair Prize. His book »Wie Nietzsche aus der Kälte kam. Geschichte einer Rettung« was published in 2022.
