Dana Grigorcea, born in Bucharest in 1979, is a Romanian-Swiss writer. She studied German and Dutch philology as well as theatre and film directing and journalism. In 2015, she received the 3sat Prize at the Ingeborg Bachmann Competition for an excerpt from her novel The Primordial Feeling of Guilt. Her novel Those Who Do Not Die was nominated for the German Book Prize in 2021 and received the Swiss Literature Award in 2022. Her other works include Baba Rada, The Lady with the Maghrebi Dog, The Names of the Flowers, Moon Out! and Following One’s Nose.
