Max Czollek

Max Czollek, born in Berlin in 1987, is an author and essayist. He studied political science at Freie Universität Berlin and earned a doctorate at the Center for Research on Antisemitism at Technische Universität Berlin. From 2009 onward, he was a member of the Berlin poetry collective G13 and served as co-editor of the magazine “Jalta – Positionen zur jüdischen Gegenwart.” His poetry collections include “Druckkammern” (2012), “Jubeljahre” (2015), “Grenzwerte” (2019), and “Gute Enden” (2024). He also published the essays “Desintegriert euch!” (2018), “Gegenwartsbewältigung” (2020), and “Versöhnungstheater” (2023). He received the Bonn Literature Prize in 2017 and a 2018 residency fellowship from the Tarabya Cultural Academy in Istanbul.
