Bernhard Robben

Bernhard Robben, born in 1955, is a German translator from English. He began working as a translator in 1992 and has translated works by authors including Ian McEwan, Salman Rushdie, John Burnside, John Williams, Patricia Highsmith, Philip Roth, and Peter Carey into German. In 2003, he received the Translation Award of the Foundation for Art and Culture of North Rhine-Westphalia. In 2013, he was honored with the Heinrich Maria Ledig-Rowohlt Prize for his lifetime achievement.
