Elke Cremer

Elke Cremer, born in Ludwigshafen in 1975, studied literature and musicology in Freiburg, Munich and Florence. She works as an author and writes audio descriptions for films, including productions for the Berlinale, ZDF and 3sat. Her publications include the poetry booklet “Linien aus Bienen,” the poetry cycle “Die Mandarinenorakel,” created jointly with Eva Brunner, and the poetry collection “Aufriss ohne Häuser” (2022). Cremer received the literature scholarship from the Kunststiftung Baden-Württemberg and the GEDOK Heidelberg Poetry Advancement Award. In 2017, she was awarded the German Audio Description Film Prize, receiving the Jury’s Special Prize.
