Annika Blanke, born in 1984 in Leer, East Frisia, is a German stage poet, writer and cabaret artist. From 2007 onward, she performed regularly on stages in German-speaking countries and published her debut novel, “Born: Toulouse,” with Lektora Verlag in 2012. Her first solo program, “Neulich war gestern noch heute,” was nominated for the St. Ingberter Pfanne cabaret prize in 2021. In 2022, she received the Rostocker Koggenzieher cabaret prize in silver; that same year, she and Mirko Gilster, performing as the team “Parole Emil,” became Lower Saxony and Bremen poetry slam champions. Blanke also performed at festivals including Deichbrand, Hurricane and Wacken.
