Franziska Wilhelm

Franziska Wilhelm was born in Erfurt and studied in Leipzig and Madrid. After finishing school, she spent a year working at a girls’ boarding school in London. As an author, she has written mainly quirky short stories, for which she received several awards and scholarships. She also performed as a poetry slammer in Germany, Austria, and France. From 2010, she was a member of the Leipzig literary stage “Schkeuditzer Kreuz.” In 2016, she co-founded “RadioPoeten” with detektor.fm, described as the first poetry slam podcast on German radio, and hosted the cross-media show “MDR Sputnik Slamedy” from 2017.
