Oliver Uschmann

Oliver Uschmann is a German author. He studied literature and English at Ruhr University Bochum, earning a master’s degree. Together with Sylvia Witt, he has published adult and young-adult novels as well as narrative nonfiction. The writing duo is particularly known for the “Hartmut und ich” novel series and the related “Hui-Welt.” Uschmann’s other works include the “Finn” series and the books “Nicht weit vom Stamm” and “Das Gegenteil von oben.” His master’s thesis on Franz Kafka was published in abridged form in the series of the German Kafka Society. In 2008, he received the North Rhine-Westphalia Advancement Award.
