Peter Kuhn is a German sports scientist and was a professor at the University of Bayreuth. He founded the Commission for Martial Arts and Combat Sports within the German Association for Sport Science and served as editor-in-chief of JOMAR (Journal of Martial Arts Research). His research areas include Martial Arts Studies, Sustainable Sport Studies, and Quality Physical Education Studies. Kuhn holds a fourth dan in karatedō and has a certificate in tàijíquán from Tianjin Sport University.
