Thomas Spitzer

Born in Freiburg in 1988, Thomas Spitzer is a German comedy writer and director. He studied mathematics in Regensburg and made his first poetry slam appearance in 2009. He subsequently won more than 200 poetry slam and cabaret competitions, including the Nightwash Talent Award in 2016. He has worked as a writer, producer, editor and camera operator on television programs such as ZDF’s heute-show. He directed Brugger’s solo program Tropical and served as executive producer for its Netflix recording.
