Jan Philipp Zymny

Jan Philipp Zymny (born 1993 in Wuppertal) is an author, cabaret performer, stand-up comedian, and poetry slam artist. He won the German-language Poetry Slam Championships in 2013 and 2015 and reached the finals four consecutive times from 2012 onward. His awards include the NightWash Talent Award in 2013 and the Prix Pantheon Jury Prize in 2016. Zymny has published, among other works, the books »Hin und zurück – nur bergauf!«, the novel »Henry Frottey – Sein erster Fall – Teil zwei: Das Ende der Trilogie«, »Es war zweimal«, »Grüß mir die Sonne!«, and »Best of Unsinn«. His writing and stage work are characterized by surreal and absurd humor.
