Martina Brandl

Martina Brandl is a cabaret artist, musician, and writer. She first appeared as a musical guest at literary performance events before beginning to write short stories. Her debut novel, “Halbnackte Bauarbeiter,” remained on the SPIEGEL bestseller list for 22 weeks; it was followed by “Glatte runde Dinger” and “Schwarze Orangen,” which also became bestsellers. Brandl toured Germany, Austria, and Switzerland with solo programmes and appeared on television. She received several awards for her work, including the Kleinkunstpreis des Landes Baden-Württemberg.
