Stefan Schwarz (born 1965) is a journalist and writer. After studying journalism in Leipzig, he worked for publications including the DAZ and the taz. He became known for humorous columns and satirical novels about family life from a male perspective, including Hüftkreisen mit Nancy, Das wird ein bisschen wehtun, Oberkante Unterlippe and Die Großrussin. He also wrote short stories, plays and screenplays. Together with director Paul Harather, he wrote the screenplay for the ARD television series Sedwitz. His stories were also used for the children’s programs Unser Sandmännchen and Die Sendung mit der Maus. The film adaptation of Hüftkreisen mit Nancy was broadcast on ZDF in 2019.
