Katrin Seddig, born in 1969 in Strausberg in the former GDR, studied philosophy in Hamburg and works as a writer. She has published several novels, including “Runterkommen” (2010), “Eheroman” (2012), “Das Dorf” (2017), “Sicherheitszone” (2020), and “Nadine” (2023), as well as short stories and essays. Seddig has received, among other distinctions, the Hamburg Literature Prize, the Hubert Fichte Prize, and the Calwer Hermann Hesse Fellowship. She was also a member of the Hamburg literary stage “Liebe Für Alle” and wrote columns for the newspaper taz.
