Felicia Hemans

Felicia Dorothea Hemans (1793–1835) was a British poet. Born in Liverpool, she wrote her first poems at the age of 15. During her marriage, she published several volumes of poetry and became one of the best-known figures in the British literary scene of her time. Her work was particularly popular among women readers. Hemans was the mother of five sons.
