Kenneth Grahame

Kenneth Grahame (1859–1932) was a British writer. Born in Edinburgh, he initially worked at the Bank of England before turning to writing. He is best known for The Wind in the Willows, published in 1908 and now regarded as a classic of children’s literature. The stories about Ratty and his friends originally began as bedtime stories for his son. His other works include The Reluctant Dragon. Grahame died in Pangbourne, England, in 1932.
