William Morris

William Morris (1834–1896) was a British painter, architect, poet, designer and printer. He is regarded as one of the founders of the Arts and Crafts movement, which opposed industrial design and sought to restore the craftsman’s role as an artist. Morris is particularly known for his designs for textiles, carpets and wallpapers.
