Daniel Carinsson

Daniel Carinsson was born in Berlin in 1968. He studied sound engineering and subsequently worked as a music producer, copywriter, bandleader in the United States, PR professional, event organiser and operator of a music label in Vienna. He later worked as a social media manager and online editor before turning to writing. From the 2000s onward, he developed a strong interest in Central and Eastern Europe, particularly the Western Balkans and Roma culture. His first novel was published in 2011, followed by short stories, journalistic contributions and another crime novel. From 2015 to 2018, he was a member of the three-person spokesperson team of the crime writers’ association SYNDIKAT.
