Carsten Sebastian Henn (born 1973 in Cologne) is a German author, wine journalist and restaurant critic. He studied viticulture in Australia and has written culinary crime novels as well as mainstream fiction, nonfiction, plays and a picture book. He is known in particular for the crime series featuring Julius Eichendorff, a chef and amateur detective from the Ahr region. His novel “The Bookwalker” (“Der Buchspazierer”) remained on the SPIEGEL bestseller list for more than two years, was translated into more than 30 languages and was adapted for film with Christoph Maria Herbst in the title role. His novels “The Story Baker” (“Der Geschichtenbäcker”) and “Die Butterbrotbriefe” also became bestsellers. Henn has received several literary awards.
