Robert Preis was born in Graz in 1972. After studying journalism and ethnology in Vienna, he worked as a journalist and newspaper editor. He has written numerous novels and nonfiction books, including the crime series featuring special investigator Armin Trost, which was adapted for television by Servus TV. Preis also initiated the FINE CRIME crime festival in Graz and co-founded the Graz Fantasy Night.
