Christiane Dieckerhoff (born 1960) initially trained and worked as a pediatric nurse, a profession she pursued for more than 30 years. After her first publications, she became a full-time freelance author in 2016. She wrote primarily Spreewald and historical crime novels; under the pseudonym Nelly Fehrenbach, she also published women’s fiction, and under the name Anne Breckenridge, historical crime novels. Her work was nominated for, among other distinctions, the GLAUSER Crime Prize of the SYNDIKAT and the Golden Homer. In 2023, she received the GLAUSER for her short story “Bescherkind,” published in the anthology “Wichtel, Wunder, Weihnachtsmord.”
