Erwin Kohl

Erwin Kohl was born in 1961 in Alpen in the Lower Rhine region of Germany. Before beginning to write in 2001, he worked, among other occupations, as a taxi driver, ice-cream seller, cinema operator, dating consultant, DJ, and cemetery gardener. He later worked as a freelance journalist for the newspapers Rheinische Post and NRZ/WAZ and produced radio features. Kohl primarily writes regional crime novels, whose stories are often based on real events and on the characters and social life of the Lower Rhine region.
